520 |a The background for this research is there found learning obstacles by student about forming diagrams of data presentation. It's a epistemological obstacle, thats is obstacle caused by limitation students in interpreting concepts or learning materials. According to these obstacles, teacher needs to create a didactical design that's able to resolve these obstacles. This research is a didactical design research which aims to design a didactical design that can instill student understanding of data presentation learning material to develop mathematical representation ability. The research method in this research is didactic design research through three steps, they are: didactic situation analysis, metapedadidactic analysis, and retrospective analysis. The subject of this research was 26 students in 5th grade from Suruur Elementary School (SD Suruur), Bandung City. Based on the result of research that involved expert judgment, the didactical design that was considered good but still needed some improvements in certain parts so that it could better help students to instill an understanding of data presentation learning material to develop mathematical representation ability.
