Summary:This study aims to analyze the contents of the book from the aspects of material suitability, linguistic aspects, and presentation aspects in the fourth grade students' book, Theme 5 My Heroes, which is oriented towards heroism and to describe the distribution of the concept of heroism. This study used a qualitative method with an evaluative content analysis design. The results showed that (1) the conformity aspect of the social studies material in the fourth grade students' book of Theme 5 My Heroes was related to the goal of the heroic attitude showing conformity. With an average of 3.40 which is on the very appropriate scale. There are weaknesses in the component of the suitability of the theme with the scope of the material, there is learning that does not describe the chronology of historical events, there is learning that is not integrated, does not relate to the development of science, features examples and references are less recent, and learning material is less contextual. (2) The linguistic aspect has shown an orientation towards heroism with an average of 3.57. The weaknesses are that the text does not contain spiritual aspects, there are sentences of more than 8 words, a lack of understanding of the message. (3) The presentation aspect of the material has shown an orientation towards heroism with an average of 3.67. There is a weakness in thematic-based learning for the completeness of the contents of the book. (4) The concept of heroism in the fourth grade student book Theme 5 My heroes are scattered in each sub-theme and lesson. Among them are the concept of respecting religious diversity, caring, being brave, persistent, willing to sacrifice, achieving, a thinker, inspiring, having struggling values, respecting cultural diversity, working hard, willing to learn, fighting, appreciating the nation's culture, being loyal, superior, never giving up , love of the country, passion, spirit of leader, etc.
