520 |a The aim of this study is to find out the correlation between emotion regulation and assertive behavior students in the Faculty of Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The study was conducted to 360 students in the Faculty of Education,. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a correlation between emotion regulation and assertive behavior students in the Faculty of Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The data collection is by using Likert Scale which includes Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) scale with reliability coefficient of 0.903 and Rathus Assertiveness Schedule (RAS) scale with reliability coefficient of 0.908. The sample is selected by using purposive sampling technique with a data technique analysis of spearman rank correlation. The results of the study shows that cognitive reappraisal and assertive behavior have positive correlation with scores students do have correlation with scores of 0.198 sig. (0.000) < α( 0.05) and expressive suppression have negative correlation with score -0.414 sig (0.000) < α( 0.05) This study concludes that the correlation of emotion regulation cognitive reappraissal and assertive behavior in the Faculty of Education students, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and that the correlation of emotion regulation cognitive reappraissal and assertive behavior in the Faculty of Education students, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia The result of the study is hoped to be able to give illustration of the condition on student's emotion regulation and assertive behavior, and also to help the students to be able to develop their emotion regulation and assertive behavior to become a better person.
