Taman Maluku Kota Bandung merupakan taman yang identik dengan keberadaan patung pastor Verbraak di Kota Bandung, taman yang sempat di salah fungsikan oleh masyarakat Kota Bandung membuat citra dari taman ini dipandang negatif oleh beberapa orang, setelah dilakukan revitalisasi oleh Dinas Pertamanan Kota Bandung sebanyak 2 kali. Taman Maluku belum dimanfaatkan secara baik oleh masyarakat Kota Bandung, ruang terbuka yang memiliki fungsi sebagai tempat untuk berekreasi serta bersosialisasi belum dapat dimanfaatkan sepenuhnya oleh masyarakat kota karena fungsi rekreasi serta fasilitas yang masih kurang. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melakukan perencanaan Taman Maluku sebagai ruang rekreasi bersifat publik di Kota Bandung, tahapan dalam perencanaan merupakan pengembangan dari perencanaan lanskap (Gold, 1980) dengan tahapan inventarisasi, analisis, sintesis, konsep dan terakhir tahap desain. Pada penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dan dan informasi mengenai fungsi rekreasi di Taman Maluku diperoleh dari data primer dan sekunder, teknik pengumpulan data untuk inventarisasi serta analisis diambil dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan kuesioner kepada pengunjung taman dan DPKP3. Metode analisis data menggunakan Analisis Tapak yang menghasilkan upaya pengembangan taman melalui peta perencanaan tapak. Teknik analisis data berupa analisis potensi dan kendala pada area taman. Dalam penelitian ini menghasilkan upaya untuk mengembangkan Taman Maluku sebagai Ruang Rekreasi untuk publik, di Kota Bandung, Langkah pertama yang akan ditempuh oleh pemerintah sebagai upaya dalam pengembangan taman adalah perbaikan fasilitas selanjutnya pengembangan fasilitas untuk rekreasi dan olahraga yaitu, jalur sirkulasi, fasilitas penunjang, keamanan, gazebo, rekreasi air, dan fasilitas kesehatan lain. Maluku Park in Bandung City is a park that is identical with the existence of the statue of Pastor Verbraak in Bandung, the park that was once disabled by Bandung City residents to make the image of this park is considered negative by some people after being revitalized by the Bandung city government twice. Maluku Park has not been utilized by the people of Bandung City, open space that has a function as a place for recreation and socialization has not been utilized by the city community because of the recreational functions and facilities are still lacking. Therefore, the purpose of this research to conduct the planning of the Maluku Park as a recreation space is public in the city of Bandung, the stage in planning is the development of landscape planning (Gold, 1980) with the phases of inventory, analysis, synthesis, Concept and final design stage. On this research, the author uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Main data and information on recreational functions at Maluku Park are obtained from primary and secondary data, the techniques of collecting data for inventory and analysis are taken by observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaire to visitors of the park and DPKP3. . Methods of data analysis using the site analysis park produce development effort through a site planning map. Data analysis techniques of the potential analysis and constraints in the garden area. In this research resulted from an effort to develop the Maluku Park as a recreation space for public, in the city of Bandung, the first step to be forged by the government as an effort in the development of the park is the improvement of facilities further the development of facilities for recreation and sports namely, circulation pathways, supporting facilities, safety, gazebo, water recreation, and other health facilities
