Summary:This research is motivated by a situation where there are students who have difficulty learning to read early in class II SD Negeri Region IV Pasar Minggu District. This study aims to find out how the teacher's efforts in overcoming the difficulties of learning to read for grade II elementary school students in Region IV DKI Jakarta. The research method used in this study was descriptive method, the population of this study was 20 grade II teachers at SD Negeri Region IV. Pasar Minggu District, and the data collection technique used is using an open questionnaire. The results showed that as many as 29% of teachers conducted online and offline guidance to overcome the type of difficulty recognizing letters, 33% of teachers conducted online and offline guidance to overcome the types of word reading difficulties, 20% of teachers conducted online and offline guidance also collaborated with other people. parents to overcome the type of difficulty reading words that have no meaning, 24% of teachers provide reading exercises to overcome difficulties in reading fluency, 33% of teachers work together with parents to overcome students' difficulties in hearing and understanding reading through dictation, and 18% of teachers provide motivation to students to overcome difficulties in understanding reading. Based on the results of these efforts, the learning outcomes obtained by students reached the criteria of excellent and special.
