520 |a This study aims to describe the profile of multiple intelligences in one of the private junior high schools in Bandung, including the application of multiple intelligences to the physics textbooks used in the school, the profile of multiple intelligences of all students in the school, and the perception of science teachers about familiarity towards the theory of multiple intelligences and their application in classroom learning. Researchers used quantitative descriptive methods in this study. Book analysis based on the theory of multiple intelligences is carried out using a checklist as a reference rubric. Researchers used a questionnaire to identify the profile of student's multiple intelligences and teachers' perceptions of the theory of multiple intelligences. The results showed that the eight types of multiple intelligences had not been evenly accommodated in the Science Physics textbooks for junior high schools. Existing books are more focused on logical intelligence and the least priority is on musical intelligence. The student's multiple intelligence profile shows that intrapersonal intelligence is the dominant intelligence of the students in the school and the least is logical intelligence. The teachers are quite familiar with the theory of multiple intelligences and other intelligence theories, and always apply verbal, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalist intelligence in classroom learning.
