Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kendala siswa dalam mempelajari materi fisika ketika dilakukan sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh. Siswa menjadi kurang aktif karena tidak dapat diawasi langsung oleh guru seperti ketika berada di kelas, terutama untuk penguasaan konsep materi fisika, sehingga penguasaan konsep pada materi fisika di salah satu SMA Negeri di Banten masih terbilang rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penguasaan konsep siswa melalui penerapan strategi Writing to learn pada pembelajaran jarak jauh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental design dengan desain penelitian berupa eksperimen one grup pretest-posttest. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 36 siswa dari kelas X IPA 4 di salah satu SMA Negeri di Banten. Pembelajaran dilakukan secara jarak jauh dengan bantuan Google Classroom. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tes dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penguasaan konsep siswa mengalami peningkatan yang dilihat dari skor rata-rata gain sebesar 0,64 dan termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi Writing to learn dengan Template frayer dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi fisika. Untuk korelasi antara kemampuan strategi Writing to learn dengan penguasaan konsep sebesar 0,44 yang masuk ke dalam kategori cukup. This research is motivated by the constraints of students in learning physics material when a distance learning system is carried out. Students become less active because they cannot be directly supervised by the teacher like when they are in class, especially for the mastery of the concept of physics material, so that the mastery of the concept of physics in one of the public high schools in Banten is still relatively low. The purpose of this study was to analyze the students mastery of concepts through the application of the Writing to learn strategy in distance learning. The research method used was pre-experimental design with a pretest-posttest one group experimental research design. The sample used in this study were 36 students from class X IPA 4 in one of the public high schools in Banten. Learning is done remotely with the help of Google Classroom. Data collection was carried out using tests and observations sheets on the implementation of learning. The results of the research carried out were that the students mastery of concepts had increased as seen from the gain average score of 0,64 and included in the medium category. This shows that the application of the Writing to learn strategy with the Frayer template can improve students mastery of concepts in physics material. The correlation bertween the ability of the Writing to learn strategy and mastery of concepts is 0,44 which is in the sufficient category.
