Kegiatan belajar mengajar di Indonesia sudah memasuki semester keempat PJJ. Hasil survei menyatakan 89,1% orangtua siswa mendampingi anak selama PJJ, namun kenyatannya berbanding terbalik. Pelonggaran indikator kompetensi menjadi penyebab utama learning loss. Selama PJJ, sistem pembelajaran utama yang digunakan oleh pendidik ialah dengan mengandalkan buku teks pelajaran. Melalui buku teks tersebut pendidik mengarahkan materi yang harus dipelajari. Hal tersebut nampaknya masih akan digunakan terutama pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Maka dari itu materi yang terdapat pada buku tersebut haruslah mempunyai muatan yang menumbuhkan self-regulation siswa. Keterkaitan antara self-regulation, peran serta pendidik, dan buku teks pembelajaran tematik sebagai tiga dari beberapa faktor di lapangan yang menentukan keberhasilan PJJ menjadi tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan. Metode penelitian kualitiatif menjadi payung penelitian ini dengan studi kasus sebagai desain penelitiannya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa buku teks pelajaran yang digunakan tidak sepenuhnya memuat komponen self-regulation. Pendidik merasa kesulitan dalam menumbuhkan self-regulation siswa terlepas dari kurangnya muatan self-regulation pada buku teks pelajaran yang digunakan. Begitu pula hal nya dengan siswa yang lebih di dominasi oleh orangtua selama PJJ sehingga sukar untuk mengembangkan self-regulation. ----- Teaching and learning activities in Indonesia have entered the fourth semester of online learning. The survey results stated that 89,1% of parents accompany their children during online learning, but the reality is the opposite. The loosening of competency indicators is the main cause of learning loss. During online learning, the main learning system used by educators is to rely on textbooks. Through these textbooks, educators direct the material that must be studied. It seems that it will still be used, especially at the elementary school level. Therefore, the material contained in the book must have content that fosters student self-regulation. The relationship between self-regulation, the role of educators, and thematic learning textbooks as three of several factors in the field that determine the success of online learning is the goal of this research. Qualitative research methods are the main way of this research with case studies as the research design. The results show that the textbooks used do not fully contain the self-regulation component. Educators find it difficult to cultivate student self-regulation despite the lack of self-regulation in the textbooks used. Likewise, students are more dominated by parents during online learning, making it difficult to develop self-regulation.
