Summary

Penelitian ini berawal dari siswa memiliki minat yang berbeda saat memilih kompetensi keahlian yang dijalankan, sehingga siswa memperoleh hasil belajar yang cukup beragam namun ditemukan permasalahan terkait dengan minat yang tinggi tapi jika dibandingkan hasil belajarnya dengan siswa lain dapat dinyatakan belum maksimal. Kajian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui gambaran tentang minat siswa memilih kompetensi keahlian DPIB serta pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar mata pelajaran konstruksi utilitas gedung di SMK Negeri 7 Baleendah. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan metode ex-post facto, dengan melaksanakan pengolahan data statistik parametrik, dalam proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner yang berkaitan dengan minat siswa memilih kompetensi keahlian DPIB serta nilai rapor yang merupakan laporan akhir semester untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa. Melibatkan seluruh populasi siswa kelas XI DPIB SMK Negeri 7 Baleendah dengan sampel uji coba 20 siswa dan sampel penelitian 41 siswa. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian dapat dinyatakan bahwa (1) gambaran tingkat minat siswa memilih kompetensi keahlian DPIB berada pada kategori yang tinggi, (2) gambaran hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran konstruksi utilitas gedung berada pada kategori baik, (3) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari minat siswa memilih kompetensi keahlian DPIB terhadap hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran konstruksi utilitas gedung. Serta berimplikasi hendaknya dalam pemilihan kompetensi keahlian harus lebih memperhatikan hal yang mendukung keberhasilan belajar siswa salah satunya ialah minat. This research begins with student have different interest when choosing the competency skills, so that student get diverse learning outcomes but problems are found related to high interest but when compared to their learning outcomes with other students it can be stated that they are not optimal. This study aims to obtain an overview of student interest choosing DPIB expertise competencies and influence on learning outcomes of building utility construction subjects at VHS Negeri 7 Baleendah. This research approach is descriptive quantitative using the ex-post facto method, processing parametric statistical data, the data collection process is carried out by distributing student interest questionnaires in choosing DPIB expertise competencies and report cards which are the end of semester report cards to knowing learning outcomes. Involving of class XI DPIB VHS Negeri 7 Baleendah students with a trial sample of 20 student and a research sample of 41 student. Based on the result, can be stated that (1) description of student interest choosing DPIB expertise competencies is in the high category, (2) description of student learning outcomes the building utility construction subject is in the good category, (3) there is a positive influence and significance from student interest in choosing DPIB expertise competence on learning outcomes in the subject of building utility construction. As well, having implications at the selection of competencies skill should pay more attention to things that support student learning success, one of them is interest.
