Summary:Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pembelajaran PPKn yang merupakan mata pelajaran pembina karakter peserta didik. Di masa Pandemi Covid-19 aktivitas pembelajaran pun dilakukan secara jarak jauh sehingga peserta didik hanya mendapatkan pembinaan karakter melalui pembelajaran jarak jauh, sangat dimungkinkan adanya peserta didik yang kurang mengimplementasikan karakter baik khususnya karakter jujur dan disiplin. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 1 Tarogong Kidul. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran PPKn Era Pandemi Covid-19 dalam membina karakter jujur dan disiplin peserta didik, mengetahui keberhasilan pembinaan karakter jujur dan disiplin peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 1 Tarogong Kidul melalui pembelajaran PPKn di era Pandemi Covid-19, mengetahui kendala dan upaya pembelajaran PPKn di era Covid-19 dalam membina karakter jujur dan disiplin peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mix method dengan metode campuran tidak berimbang (concurrent embedded design). Pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan cara wawancara, observasi, angket dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran PPKn era Pandemi Covid-19 dalam membina karakter jujur dan disiplin peserta didik kelas VIII sudah terlaksana baik; (2) Pada pembelajaran PPKn era Pandemi Covid-19 dalam membina karakter jujur dan disiplin peserta didik SMPN 1 Tarogong Kidul sudah berhasil dan sebagian besar peserta didik telah mengimplementasikannya; (3) Ditemukan beberapa kendala, diantaranya sarana dan keterbatasan interaksi; (4) Melakukan upaya untuk meminimalisir kendala yang dialami selama pembelajaran baik itu oleh pihak sekolah, guru maupun peserta didik. (PPKN LEARNING IN THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ERA IN DEVELOPING HONEST AND DISCIPLINED CHARACTER OF STUDENTS AT SMPN 1 TAROGONG KIDUL (DESCRIPTION STUDY). This research is motivated by learning Civics which is a character-building subject for students. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, learning activities were also carried out remotely so that students only got character development through distance learning, there may be students who do not implement good characters, especially honest and disciplined characters. This research was conducted at SMPN 1 Tarogong Kidul. The purpose of the study was to determine the implementation of Civics learning in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era in fostering the honest and disciplined character of students, to find out the success of fostering the honest and disciplined character of class VIII SMPN 1 Tarogong Kidul students through Civics learning in the Covid-19 Pandemic era, to find out the obstacles and efforts to learn Civics in the Covid-19 era in fostering the honest and disciplined character of students. This research uses a mixed-method approach with an unbalanced mixed method (concurrent embedded design). Data collection was obtained employing interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The results of the study show: (1) The implementation of Civics learning in the Covid-19 Pandemic era in fostering honest and disciplined character for class VIII students has been carried out well; (2) In the learning of Civics in the Covid-19 Pandemic era in fostering the honest and disciplined character of SMPN 1 Tarogong Kidul students, it has been successful and most of the students have implemented it; (3) Several obstacles were found, including the means and limitations of interaction; (4) Make efforts to minimize the obstacles experienced during learning both by the school, teachers, and students.
