Summary:Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan desain awal bahan ajar berbasis cerita bergambar pada pembelajaran tematik siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar, 2) mendeskripsikan hasil uji kelayakan terhadap bahan ajar berbasis cerita bergambar pada pembelajaran tematik siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar, dan 3) mendeskripsikan desain final bahan ajar berbasis cerita bergambar pada pembelajaran tematik siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar. Menurut Piaget, anak usia sekolah dasar berada pada tahap operasional konkret. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa anak sangat menyukai benda-benda yang nyata dan memiliki daya fantasi yang tinggi. Berdasarkan asumsi tersebut diperlukan bahan belajar yang dapat menunjang kebutuhan siswa yaitu bahan ajar yang dibuat menyenangkan, menarik dan memudahkan siswa dalam memahami materi yang dipelajari. Oleh karena itu, penulis melakukan penelitian dengan mengembangkan produk bahan ajar berbasis cerita bergambar pada pembelajaran tematik siswa kelas II sekolah dasar pada materi dalam tema 8 sub tema 2 menjaga keselamatan di rumah. Penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis, menggunakan metode Design and Development (D&D) dengan menggunakan model PPE yaitu perencanaan (planning), produksi (production) dan evaluasi (evaluation). Hasil penelitian pengembangan bahan ajar tematik berbasis cerita bergambar oleh ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli bahasa memenuhi kriteria layak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa produk bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran. ABSTRACT DEVELOPMENT OF ILLUSTRATED STORY-BASED TEACHING MATERIALS IN THEMATIC LEARNING OF GRADE II ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS Sri Hardiyanti 1705845 This research was conducted with the aim of: 1) describing the initial design of the based teaching material product illustrated stories on thematic learning of grade II elementary school students, 2) describing the results of the feasibility test on based teaching materials illustrated stories on thematic learning of grade II elementary school students, and 3) describing the final design of based teaching materials products illustrated story on thematic learning of grade II elementary school students. According to Piaget, elementary school-aged children are in the concrete operational stage. This matter shows that children really like real objects and have high fantasy power. Based on these assumptions, learning materials are needed that can support the needs of students, namely teaching materials based on picture stories that are made fun, attract attention and make it easier for students to understand the material being studied. Therefore, the authors conducted research by developing a product of teaching materials based on picture stories in thematic learning of grade II elementary school students on the material in theme 8 sub-theme 2 maintaining safety at home.The research conducted by the author uses the Design and Development (D&D) using the PPE model, namely planning, production and evaluation. The results of research on the development of story-based thematic teaching materials illustrated by material experts, media experts and linguists meet the eligibility criteria. This shows that the product of teaching materials developed can be used in learning.
