Summary:Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perubahan proses pembelajaran sosiologi yang semulanya tatap muka atau luring menjadi daring. Perubahan tersebut tentu akan membawa dampak bagi keberhasilan proses pembelajaran karena pembelajaran daring merupakan sesuatu yang baru dilakukan. Sementara itu, pendekatan student centered learning menjadi pendekatan pembelajaran yang dinilai lebih cocok digunakan dalam proses pendidikan di era digital. Namun, dengan perubahan proses pembelajaran menjadi daring sebagai hal yang baru, tentu menimbulkan pertanyaan apakah pendekatan student centered learning masih cocok digunakan dan memiliki tingkat efektivitas yang baik, atau malah sebaliknya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini, yaitu (1) mengetahui seberapa tinggi interakif siswa terhadap pembelajaran sosiologi secara daring dalam menggunakan pendekatan student centered learning selama masa pandemi Covid-19, (2) mengetahui bagaimana hambatan penerapan pendekatan Student Centered Learning terhadap pembelajaran sosiologi secara daring di SMA Sumatra 40 Bandung, (3) mengetahui bagaimana efektivitas penerapan pendekatan Student Centered Learning terhadap pembelajaran sosiologi secara daring di SMA Sumatra 40 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode studi deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X IPS di SMA Sumatra 40 Bandung. Pengumpulan data dilakkan dengan menyebarkan kuisioner atau angket online. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Tingkat interaksi yang dilakukan oleh siswa dengan siswa maupun siswa dengan guru adalah tinggi; (2) proses pembelajaran sosiologi secara daring yang menggunakan pendekatan student centered learning selama masa pandemi Covid-19 berjalan dengan lancar dan tidak menemui hambatan yang berarti; (3) penerapan pendekatan student centered learning terhadap pembelajaran sosiologi secara daring ditengah pandemic Covid-19 tergolong sangat efektif. Kata Kunci: Efektivitas, Student Centered Learning, Pembelajaran Sosiologi Daring This research is motivated by the change in the sociology learning process from a face to face or offline to online. These changes will certainly have an impact on the success of the learning process because online learning is something that has just been done. Meanwhile, the student centered learning approach is a learning approach that is considered more suitable for use in the education process in the digital era. Howerver, with the change in the learning process to online as a new thing, of course it raises the question of whether the student centered learning approach is still suitable to be used and has a good level of effectiveness or not. The purpose of this research are (1) knowing how highly interactive students are toward online sociology learning in using the student centered learning approach during the Covid-19 pandemic; (2) knowing how the barriers to applying the student centered learning approach to online sociology learning; (3) Find out how effective the application of the student centered learning approach to online sociology learning. This research uses quantitative approach and descriptive study method. The research subjects are X IPS in SMA Sumatra 40 Bandung. Data collection is carried out by distributing online quetionnaires. The result of this study are (1) the level of interaction between students and students and students with teacher is high; (2) The online sociology learning process using a student centered learning approach during the Covid-19 pandemic run smoothly and did not any significant obstacles; (3) The application of the student centered learning approach to online sociology learning in the pandemic covid-19 situation is very effective.
