ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengajarkan bagaimana teknik cara penjarian yang baik dan benar pada saat bermain piano untuk pemula di usia 7-9 tahun. Media yang digunakan adalah peneliti itu sendiri. Peneliti disini berperan sebagai human instrument, yang mempunyai fungsi dalam memilih informan, melaksanakan penelitian, menetapkan fokus penelitian, menilai pengembangan dalam pembelajaran, memberikan ilmu yang telah didapat, memberikan bahan pengajaran yang diketahui dan membuat kesimpulan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Kualitatif , Obeservasi dan juga Studi dokumentasi, yaitu metode yang memiliki sifat terjun langsung ke lapangan untuk melakukan sebuah penelitian langsung kepada objek yang akan di teliti. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dua siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu : (1) Perencanaan, (2) Tindakan, (3) Pengamatan, dan (4) Refleksi. Penelitian dengan subyek tindakan sebanyak 1 orang anak perempuan sekolah dasar (SD) yang berumur 7-9 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak yang berumur 7-9 tahun ini sangat aktif dan mudah menangkap proses pembelajaran teknik penjarian pada piano, seperti tangga nada, trinada, arpeggio dan juga kadens dilihat dari peningkatan penguasaan tangga nada dalam 5 kali pertemuan yang peneliti lakukan terhadap sang anak. Ini terlihat dari setiap pertemuan yang dilakukan sang anak mampu mengejar bahan dasar yang peneliti berikan kepada anak disetiap minggu pertemuannya. Kata kunci : Teknik penjarian, piano, usia pemula. ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to teach rookies age 7-9 how to use the fingerstyle technique. The media used for this method is the researcher themselves. Here, the researcher took part as a human instrument, that has functions to choose informants, do researches, laying down the focus of the research, judge the development of the study, provide the knowledge that's been gotten, give a known teaching material and make conclusions. The method that is being used is the qualitative method, as well as observations and documentation studies, in which these methods have a peculiar feature in diving straight right into the research to doing an on-field observation towards the object that is being observed. This research is done in two cycles, which these cycles consist of four (4) phases, which are: (1) Planning, (2) Action, (3) Observation, and (4) Reflection. This research also consists of one (1) action subject in a little girl at an elementary school, aged about 7-9 years old. The outcome of this research indicates that children at the age of 7-9 years old are very active and easy to process learning the fingerstyle technique in piano, such as scale, tri-tone, arpeggio and also kadens, as seen from the step-up of the tone ladder mastery in only five (5) meetings that the researcher did towards the kid. This is seen every meeting that the kid took to chase up every basic material that the researcher gave in every week Keyword : Fingerstyle, piano, rookies age.
