Summary: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan desain hipotetis bahan ajar berbasis pendekatan Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) dalam pembelajaran matematika kelas II sekolah dasar, (2) mendeskripsikan kelayakan bahan ajar berbasis pendekatan Concrete�Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) dalam pembelajaran matematika kelas II sekolah dasar, dan (3) mendeskripsikan bahan ajar akhir berbasis pendekatan Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) dalam pembelajaran matematika kelas II sekolah dasar. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan dari hasil belajar siswa pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan cacah yang tergolong rendah dengan presentase lebih dari 50% siswa mendapatkan nilai di bawah KKM. Selain itu, yang menjadi latar belakang penelitian mengembangkan bahan ajar adalah terdapat penyampaian materi yang kurang sesuai pada bahan ajar terdahulu, penggunaan ilustrasi gambar yang kurang menarik dan belum melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam membangun konsep secara mendalam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode D&D (Design and Development) dengan model PPE (Planning, Production, Evaluation) yang digagas oleh Richey dan Klein. Partisipan yang terlibat untuk menguji kelayakan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan ada tiga ahli, yaitu ahli materi, ahli desain, dan ahli bahasa. Hasil validasi dari ahli materi sebesar 95,55% dengan katergori sangat layak, hasil validasi ahli desain sebesar 81,66% dengan kategori sangat layak, dan hasil validasi ahli bahasa sebesar 98% dengan kategori sangat layak. Total hasil validasi sebesar 91,73% dengan kategori sangat layak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahan ajar berbasis pendekatan Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan cacah kelas II sekolah dasar. The purpose of this research is (1) to describe hypothesys design teaching materials based on Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach in grade II elementary school mathematics learning, (2) to describe feasibility teaching materials based on Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach in grade II elementary school mathematics learning, and (3) to describe final teaching materials based on Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach in grade II elementary school mathematics learning. The background in this research is based on student's learning outcome in addition and subtraction in whole numbers subject that of over 50% of students get below average study rate in addition. Additionally, the background of the research on developing teaching materials is that there is material delivery that is not suitable for previous teaching materials, the use of that are less attractive picture illustrations and that has not involved students actively building concepts in depth. The research method used is the D&D (Design and Development) method with the PPE (Planning, Production, Evaluation) model initiated by Richey and Klein. There are three experts involved in testing the feasibility of the teaching materials developed, namely materials experts, design experts, and language experts. The validation results from material experts are 95.55% with a very feasible category, the validation results from design experts are 81.66% with a very feasible category, and the validation results from linguists are 98% with a very feasible category. The total validation results are 91.73% with a very feasible category. So it can be concluded that teaching materials based on the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach is very feasible to be used in learning mathematics of adding and subtracting whole numbers grade II elementary school.
