Pengembangan masjid sebagai pusat komunitas muslim, menjadikan masjid bukan tempat ibadah saja. Dengan adanya perubahan fungsi menjadi lebih luas, berpatokan pada dasar fungsi masjid yang sesungguhnya dan menghasilkan bentuk yang berbeda, mampu menarik banyak perhatian kaum muslim untuk meningkatkan kondisi umat Islam pada era sekarang. Penulis merancang masjid sebagai tempat ibadah, sosial, ekonomi, pendidikan, dan politik. Neo-Vernakular sebagai simbol pembeda dari kalangan desain masjid, menjadikan potensi perubahan pada zaman sekarang. Neo vernakular memiliki falsafah adaptasi regionalisme, yaitu dialog antara tradisional dan modern. Penerapan kembali budaya tradisional Garut menjadi daya tarik masyarakat, yang berpotensi meningkatkan kekuatan pemuda pada era sekarang. Perancangan Desain Masjid sebagai Pusat Komunitas Muslim ini, diharapkan mampu menjawab tantangan serta kebutuhan dalam kemasyarkatan. Meningkatnya perekonomian, kependidikan, sosial, hingga politik dengan mendasari agama Islam. Hal tersebut merupakan suatu pergerakan kebangkitan Islam pada era sekarang. Kata Kunci: Masjid, Komunitas Muslim, Neo-Vernakular. The development of the mosque as a center for the muslim community, makes the mosque not only a place of worship. With the change in function to be wider, based on the basic function of the real mosque and producing a different form, it is able to attract a lot of attention of muslims improve the condition of muslims in the current era. The author designed the mosque as a place of worship, social, economic, educational, and political. Neo-Vernacular as a distinguishing symbol from the mosque design circles, which makes the potential for change in today's era. Neo vernacular has a regionalism adaptation philosophy, namely a dialogue between traditional and modern. The re-application of traditional Garut culture has become a public attraction, which has the potential to increase the strength of youth in the current era. The design of the mosque as a Muslim Community Center is expected to be able to answer the challenges and needs in society. The is an increase in terms of economy, education, social, to politics based on Islam. The is a movement of Islamic revival in the current era. Keywords : Mosque, Muslim Community, Neo-Vernacular.
