520 |a This research started from the researcher's restlessness regarding the unpeaceful condition and student conflict in the school environment ranging from trivial to profound problems. One of the efforts to handle this problem was implementing the Conflict Resolution Counseling Model for the Development of a Peaceful Student Culture based on Nosarara Nosabatutu. The purpose of this research was to develop a peaceful culture as a provision for the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of students to manage conflict adequately based on the values of local wisdom (Nosarara Nosabatutu). This research used mixed methods, which is a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. The qualitative design used ethnographic methods and the quantitative design used embedded with a quasi-experiment design. The study population was 302 students of SMKN Palu and the research sample was 24 students of SMKN 3 Palu (12 students in the treatment group and 12 students in the control group). The data was collected by using the peaceful culture of students inventory based on Nosarara Nosabatutu. This study found that the conflict resolution counseling model has six sequential stages: deliberation to reach consensus, empathy for others, helping out, caring for others, protecting nature, and upholding human values. The data analyzed by using descriptive statistic analysis with the N- Gain test and inferential statistic analysis with the Wilcoxon test and simple linear regression test. The finding of this research was conflict resolution counseling effectively proved to enhance the peaceful culture of students based on Nosarara Nosabatutu.
