Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan fenomena polisemi di mana satu kata memiliki banyak makna dan makna tersebut saling berkaitan sehingga dapat berdampak pada terjadinya kekeliruan dalam menafsirkan makna kata tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kelas kata berpolisemi dan bentuk maknanya, hubungan makna polisemi serta faktor penyebab terjadinya polisemi yang muncul pada webtoon Spirit Fingers karya Kyoungchal Han. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori klasifikasi kelas kata oleh Sinsago, teori hubungan makna polisemi oleh Djajasudarma dan teori faktor penyebab polisemi oleh Ullmann dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 3 kelas kata berpolisemi yakni 17 kata kerja, 8 kata benda dan 5 kata sifat yang muncul sebagai makna dasar dan makna perluasan di mana makna perluasan lebih mendominasi. Hubungan perubahan makna dengan konsep metafora lebih mendominasi dibandingkan dengan konsep metonimi dan sinekdoke. Faktor penyebab polisemi didominasi oleh faktor pergeseran penggunaan sebanyak 76%, disusul oleh faktor bahasa figuratif (kiasan) sebanyak 14% dan faktor spesialisasi pada lingkungan masyarakat sebanyak 10%. Adanya fenomena polisemi pada media komik dapat dijadikan alternatif sebagai bahan ajar untuk mempermudah pemelajar bahasa Korea dalam memahami polisemi. Kata kunci: kelas kata, polisemi, semantik, Webtoon This research is conducted based on the phenomenon of polysemy where one word has many meanings and the meanings are interrelated so that it can have an impact on the occurrence of errors in interpreting the meaning of the word. The purpose of this research was to determine the class of polysemous words, their forms, their meaning relationship, as well as what causes the use of polysemy in the webtoon. This research employed the theory of word class classification by Sinsago, the theory of polysemy meaning relations by Djajasudarma, and the theory of the causal factors of polysemy by Ullmann with a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that there were three classes of polysemous words, consisting of 17 verbs, 8 nouns, and 5 adjectives that appeared as basic meanings and expanded meanings where the expanded meanings were more dominant. The meaning relationship of polysemy with metaphor concept dominated more than the metonymy and synecdoche concepts. The causal factors of polysemy were dominated by the shifts in applications factors 76%, followed by figurative language factors 14%, and specialization in a social milieu factors 10%. The existence of the polysemy phenomenon in web-based comics can be used as an alternative teaching materials so that the Korean language learners can understand polysemy in an easier way.
