Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengelolaan arsip di Unit Kearsipan (UK2) Direktorat Pendidikan UPI Bandung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengelolaan arsip, faktor-faktor yang meng-hambat pengelolaan arsip, dan usaha yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dimana penelitian yang dilakukan bersifat deskriptif yaitu memberikan gambaran atau penjelasan mengenai suatu hasil penelitian dengan kenyataan yang ada pada objek penelitian yang diteliti. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap pengelolaan arsip dinamis yang terdiri dari Perencanaan (Planning), Pengorganisasian (Organizing), Pelaksa-naan (Actuating), dan Pengawasan (Controlling). Pemilihan informan dilakukan dengan cara memilih pegawai yang terlibat dalam kearsipan, agar dapat mem-berikan informasi yang sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat diketahui bahwa pengelolaan arsip dina-mis berada pada kategori belum optimal. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari pedoman observasi dalam aspek yang diteliti. Adapun dalam pengelolaan arsip dinamis ter-dapat beberapa hambatan dan usaha yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi hambatan ter-sebut. Sehingga dalam kegiatan pengelolaan arsip yang dilakukan oleh pegawai menunjukan bahwa pengelolaan arsip belum berjalan dengan optimal. The background raised in this study is the optimal storage of archives in the Directorate of Education of the University of Education Indonesia. Archive storage can be affected by several factors, one of which is influenced by the management of archives. The purpose of this research is to know the filing procedure at the Direc-tor of Education of the University of Education Indonesia, to find out the level of guaranteed archival storage and to find out the effect of the archive management system on the guaranteed storage of archives. This research was conducted using survey methods and to answer problem for-mulations in this study using descriptive analysis techniques and inferential analy-sis. The population in this study was 38 respondents, employees in the archiving unit of the Directorate of Education of the University of Education Indonesia. The technique used in this study is simple regression analysis. The results of this study show that the management of archives is in the agreed category and archive storage is in the agree category. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the management of archives had a partial positive effect on the storage of archives in the archival unit of the Directorate of Education of the University of Education Indonesia. The results of the correlation coefficient value obtained show that the correlation is in the weak category between the management of archives and archival storage. Thus archive storage can be improved through good archival management.
