Summary:Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah pendidikan di Indonesia yang telihat seakan berjalan di tempat, hasil belajar siswa yang sulit meningkat dan minimnya pengetahuan guru tentang macam-macam pembelajaran khususnya pembelajaran STEAM yang dipercaya dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, meliputi aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan pembelajaran STEAM dan konvensional serta efektivitas pendekatan STEAM terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas V di salah satu Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu di Kota Bekasi dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi eksperimen non-equivalent control group design (pre-test-post-test dua kelompok). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor rata-rata pre-test pada kelas eksperimen 60,00, pada kelas kontrol 58,82. Sedangkan skor rata-rata post-test pada kelas eksperimen 90,56, pada kelas kontrol 79,71. Penilaian sikap siswa pada kelas eksperimen mendapatkan skor rata-rata sebesar 82,22, pada kelas kontrol sebesar 78,82. Penilaian keterampilan siswa pada kelas eksperimen mendapatkan skor rata-rata sebesar 90,87, pada kelas kontrol sebesar 89,46. Berdasarkan hasil uji paired sample test kedua kelas mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar. Berdasarkan hasil uji independent sample test ada perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar pada kedua kelas tersebut. Berdasarkan pengujian effect size efektivitas pendekatan STEAM masuk ke dalam kategori besar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa proses pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan STEAM pada siswa kelas V di salah satu Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu di Kota Bekasi efektif. Oleh karena itu, diharapkan pedekatan STEAM dapat diterapkan pada pembelajaran selanjutnya di SD. ----- This research is motivated by the problem of education in Indonesia which seems to be running in place, student learning outcomes are difficult to increase, and the teacher's lack of knowledge about various types of learning, especially STEAM learning which is believed to improve student learning outcomes, including cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This study aims to determine the differences and improvements in student learning outcomes with STEAM and conventional learning and the effectiveness of the STEAM approach on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in one of the Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools in Bekasi City in learning mathematics. This study uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design (pre-test-post-test two groups). The results showed the average pre-test score in the experimental class was 60.00, and in the control class was 58.82. While the post-test average score in the experimental class was 90.56, in the control class was 79.71. Assessment of student attitudes in the experimental class got an average score of 82.22, in the control class, it was 78.82. The assessment of student skills in the experimental class got an average score of 90.87, in the control class, it was 89.46. Based on the results of the paired sample test, both classes experienced an increase in learning outcomes. Based on the results of the independent sample test, there is a difference in the average learning outcomes in the two classes. Based on the effect size test, the effectiveness of the STEAM approach falls into the large category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the process of learning mathematics with the STEAM approach to fifth-grade students in one of the Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools in Bekasi City is effective. Therefore, it is hoped that the STEAM approach can be applied to further learning in elementary school.
