| Summary: | Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menyelidiki efektivitas dari strategi writing task metakognitif pada pembelajaran pemeliharaan mesin sepeda motor dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian one group pre-test post-test design dan diterapkan di SMK Negeri 8 Bandung dengan responden satu kelompok sebanyak 30 orang dari peserta didik kelas Ⅺ program studi Teknik dan Bisnis Sepeda Motor. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur penguasaan konsep peserta didik yaitu soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 30 butir. Hasil dari analisis menggunakan persentase gain ternormalisasi menunjukkan bahwa strategi writing task metakognitif dapat dilihat lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep peserta didik dengan kategori sedang. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness the strategy of metacognitive writing task in study of motorcycle engine maintenance in improving the mastery of student concepts. This study uses quasi experiment method with study design one group pretest-posttest design and implemented in Vocational High School 8 Bandung. The instrument used to measure the mastery of concepts is a 30 item multiple choice test. The results of analysis using the percentage of gain normalized showed that the strategy of writing task metacognitive was more effective in improving the mastery of student concepts in the medium criteria.
