Description
Summary:As technology advances, the messages that are spread are getting more diverse in accordance with the needs of society and technological sophistication. The message of da'wah is one of the various types of information that continues to be spread and is needed. Given the current technological developments, now da'wah has evolved from conventional da'wah to online da'wah. This happens because people are increasingly wanting their lives to be practical, one of which is communicating through the internet. With today's busy society, it would be difficult to find the time to listen to conventional da'wah. Therefore, many people are looking for da'wah messages through the internet. From the various existing internet networking media, it is proven that social media is still in demand by the public, especially YouTube. Due to its easy access, YouTube can influence its users effectively. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of message content, structure, format, and source of Shift Media da'wah messages on adolescent religious attitudes. In this study, a correlational quantitative method is used with the sample used being 100 respondents of Shift Media YouTube channel subscribers. The theory that underlies this research is the S-R (stimulus-response) theory which assumes that communication is a simple process of action and reaction that can be correlated with changes in adolescent religious attitudes. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is found that there are stimulant and partial effects between the variables of da'wah messages (X) on adolescent religious attitudes (Y). The results of the processed data also show a regression value of 80.6%, so it can be concluded that the relationship between the variables is getting closer and are considered good. In addition, there is a value of 19.4% which indicates the existence of other factors outside the variables of this study. Therefore, the researcher recommends future researchers to look for other factors outside the variables of this study.
