520 | |a ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKPD praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing percobaan pasta gigi gajah (elephant toothpaste experiment) pada subtopik pengaruh katalis terhadap laju reaksi untuk pembelajaran kimia kelas XI IPA SMA/MA. Pengembangan LKPD menggunakan pendekatan penelitian educational design research melalui 2 tahapan dari 3 tahap yang dikemukanan oleh Plom yaitu tahap pendahuluan dan tahap pengembangan. Tahap pendahuluan menghasilkan prosedur praktikum optimum, indikator keterampilan inkuiri terbimbing, dan komponen LKPD. Hasil optimasi prosedur praktikum diperoleh variabel kontrol (konsentrasi H2O2 yang digunakan 7,5% dan volume H2O2 masing - masing 2mL), variabel bebas perbandingan katalis, dan variabel terikat (waktu) yang digunakan dalam penyusunan prototype LKPD. Tahap pengembangan dihasilkan prototype LKPD yang kemudian divalidasi oleh 2 orang dosen pendidikan kimia dan 3 orang guru kimia SMA dan dilanjutkan uji keterlaksaaan melalui uji coba terbatas terhadap 12 orang pesera didik SMA kelas XI disalah satu SMA Purwakarta. Skor hasil validasi terhadap kelayakan LKPD dengan indikator keterampilan inkuiri terbimbing, kelayakan konsep, kelayakan tata bahasa, tata letak dan perwajahan diperoleh 96,04% dengan kategori sangat baik. Skor hasil uji keterlaksanaan yang dilihat dari hasil jawaban pesera didik pada LKPD dan self assessment diperoleh 83,52% dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil respon peserta didik terhadap LKPD yang dikembangkan dengan interpretasi baik. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD praktikum praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing percobaan pasta gigi gajah (elephant toothpaste experiment) pada subtopik pengaruh katalis terhadap laju reaksi yang dikembangkan sudah layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran kimia kelas XI SMA/MA. Kata kunci : LKPD praktikum inkuiri terbimbing, percobaan pasta gigi gajah (elephant toothpaste experiment), katalis, laju reaksi ABSTRACT This study aims to produce a guided inquiry-based practical worksheet for elephant toothpaste experiments on the subtopic of the effect of catalysts on reaction rates for chemistry learning in class XI IPA SMA/MA. The development of LKPD uses an educational design research approach through 2 stages of the 3 stages proposed by Plom, namely the preliminary stage and the development stage. The preliminary stage produces optimum practicum procedures, indicators of guided inquiry skills, and LKPD components. The results of the optimization of the practicum procedure obtained control variables (H2O2 concentration used was 7.5% and H2O2 volume was 2mL each), the independent variable was the ratio of catalysts, and the dependent variable (time) was used in the preparation of the LKPD prototype. The development stage resulted in a prototype LKPD which was then validated by 2 chemistry education lecturers and 3 high school chemistry teachers and continued with a practical test through a limited trial of 12 high school students in class XI at one of the Purwakarta High Schools. The score of the validation results on the feasibility of LKPD with indicators of guided inquiry skills, concept feasibility, grammatical, layout and figurative feasibility obtained 96.04% with a very good category. The score of the implementation test results seen from the results of students' answers to the LKPD and self-assessment obtained 83.52% with a very good category. The results of student responses to the LKPD developed with good interpretation. Thus, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry-based LKPD of the elephant toothpaste experiment on the subtopic of the effect of catalysts on the reaction rate developed is appropriate for use in chemistry learning for class XI SMA/MA.
