Summary:Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan learning obstacle yang dialami siswa pada pembelajaran operasi hitung perkalian bilangan cacah. Operasi hitung perkalian bilangan cacah merupakan salah satu pokok bahasan matematika di Sekolah Dasar. Untuk mengatasi learning obstacle tersebut, maka peneliti merancang sebuah desain didaktis pada pembelajaran operasi hitung perkalian bilangan cacah menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). Pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan berdasarkan hal-hal yang nyata serta dikaitkan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Melalui pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan RME, learning obstacle yang dialami siswa dalam pembelajaran operasi hitung perkalian bilangan cacah dapat teratasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Didactical Design Research (DDR). Metode ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu analisis prospektif, analisis metapedadidaktik dan analisis retrospektif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik triangulasi yaitu observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas II SDN 3 Cilawu dan kelas II SDN 3 Karyamekar. Penelitian ini menghasilkan desain didaktis yang dapat mengatasi learning obstacle yang dialami siswa dalam pembelajaran operasi hitung perkalian bilangan cacah dan implementasi desain didaktis dalam pembelajaran operasi hitung perkalian bilangan cacah berbasis RME serta respon siswa terhadap desain didaktis dalam pembelajaran operasi hitung perkalian bilangan cacah berbasis RME. Abstract This research was conducted based on learning obstacles experienced by students in learning arithmetic operations on multiplication of whole numbers. The operation of counting multiplication of whole numbers is one of the subjects of mathematics in elementary school. To overcome this learning obstacle , the researchers designed a didactic design for learning arithmetic operations on multiplication of whole numbers using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach.approach Realistic Mathematics Education is a learning approach that is carried out based on real things and is related to everyday life. Through learning by using the RME approach, the learning obstacles experienced by students in learning the operation of counting multiplication of whole numbers can be overcome. The research method used is Didactical Design Research (DDR). This method consists of three stages, namely prospective analysis, metapedadidactic analysis and retrospective analysis. Data collection techniques in this study used triangulation techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. This research was conducted in class II SDN 3 Cilawu and class II SDN 3 Karyamekar. This study resulted in a didactic design that could overcome the learning obstacles experienced by students in learning the operation of counting multiplication of whole numbers and the implementation of didactic designs in learning operations of counting multiplication of whole numbers based on RME and students' responses to didactic designs in learning of operations of counting multiplication of whole numbers based on RME.
