Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan dan minat siswa dalam menulis puisi, padahal kemampuan menulis puisi sangat penting untuk dikuasai oleh siswa. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga dilatarbelakangi oleh kendala guru dalam memilih metode dan media pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengujicobakan metode Quantum Writing dengan media Wattpad pada pembelajaran menulis puisi di kelas X SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap kelas X SMAN 15 Bandung dengan sampel penelitian X MIPA 7 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai tes awal kelas eksperimen adalah 65, sedangkan rata-rata nilai tes awal kelas kontrol adalah 64. Rata-rata nilai tes akhir kelas eksperimen berdasarkan perhitungan yaitu 92, sedangkan rata-rata tes akhir kelas kontrol sejumlah 77. Berdasarkan hasil uji Independent Sample T-test diketahui nilai signifikansi sejumlah 0,000 yang mana lebih kecil dari 0,05. Untuk thitung diketahui sebesar 5,155, sedangkan ttabel dengan taraf signifikansi 95% dan derajat kebebasan (df) sebesar 28 adalah 1,7011. thitung lebih dari ttabel (5,155>1,7011). Maka, hipotesis nol pada penelitian ini ditolak, sedangkan hipotesis alternatif diterima yaitu terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menulis puisi antara kelas eksperimen setelah diterapkannya metode Quantum Writing berbantuan Media Wattpad dengan kelas kontrol setelah diterapkannya metode konvensional. This research is motivated by the low ability and interest of students in writing poetry, even though the ability to write poetry is very important to be mastered by students. In addition, this research is also motivated by the teacher's obstacles in choosing learning methods and media that can improve students' poetry writing skills. This study aims to try out the Quantum Writing method with Wattpad media in learning to write poetry in class X SMA. The research method used in this research is a quasi-experimental research design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design . This research was conducted on class X SMAN 15 Bandung with research samples X MIPA 7 as the experimental class and X MIPA 2 as the control class. The results of the study based on calculations showed that the average score for the initial test in the experimental class was 65, while the average score for the initial test for the control class was 64. The average score for the final test for the experimental class based on the calculation was 92, while the average score for the final test for the control class was 92. a total of 77. Based on the results of the Independent Sample T-test , it is known that the significance value is 0.000, which is less than 0.05. For the tcalculated is known to be 5.155, while the ttable with a significance level of 95% and degrees of freedom (df) of 28 is 1.7011. tcount more than ttable (5,155>1,7011) . Thus, the null hypothesis in this study was rejected, while the alternative hypothesis was accepted, namely that there were differences in the ability to write poetry between the experimental class after the implementation of the Quantum Writing method assisted by Wattpad Media and the control class after the implementation of the conventional method.
