Summary:Lack of nutrition in humans will certainly give someone an impact, including early childhood who are at the golden age, malnutrition in early childhood can cause several things such as not being able to achieve maximum weight and height, low endurance, susceptible to disease , and not having a good development. One of the problems related to eating behavior is the diet itself. The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the impact resulting from a culture-based diet on the nutritional status and health of early childhood. The method used in this research is a case study with a qualitative descriptive approach. The research participants were parents, children, teachers and a school nutritionist. Data collection techniques in this study using observation, interviews and documentation studies. Based on the results of the research, the findings of this study are that the children's diet is influenced by the habits or cultural customs of their parents who like coconut milk, fatty and spicy foods, so that the nutritional status of early childhood is so low and unhealthy and also has an impact on children's health which causes most children have diarrhea.
