PERBANDINGAN NOVEL PIPISAHAN KARYA RAF DAN FILM ATHIRAH KARYA RIRI RIZA1) Taasya Olivia Firmani Sahirman2) ABSTRAK Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah adanya persamaan yang menjadi dasar untuk dibandingkan. Selain persamaan, tentunya ada perbedaan dari dua karya sastra tersebut. Perbedaanya adalah perjuangan tokoh utama yang digambarkan oleh dua pengarang, hal itu disebabkan oleh latar belakang budaya yang berbeda. Novel Pipisahan berasal dari Sunda Jawa Barat sedangkan film Athirah berasal dari Makassar. Tujuan diadakannya penelitian ini adalah, untuk mendeskripsikan struktur cerita novel Pipisahan, struktur film Athirah, perbandingan novel Pipisahan dan film Athirah, motif indeks yang terdapat pada novel Pipisahan dan film Athirah. Metode dan teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah struktur cerita novel Pipisahan dan film Athirah yang terdiri atas tema yaitu perjuangan wanita yang ditinggalkan oleh suaminya. Fakta ceritanya, dalam tokoh di novel ditemukan pelaku utama yaitu Emin, Mantan Suaminya dan Eja, sedangkan dari film ditemukan pelaku utamanya yaitu Athirah, Puang Ajji dan Ucu. Dalam galur di novel menggunakan alur maju-mundur, sedangkan dalam film menggunakan alur maju. Latar yang ada pada novel berada di tatar Sunda Jawa Barat, sedangkan latar di film berada di Makassar. Perbandingan yang terdiri atas persamaan dan perbedaannya adalah novel dan film mempunyai jalan cerita yang hampir serupa, walaupun berlangsung dalam tahun dan tempat yang berbeda, dari struktur fakta cerita maupun motif indeksnya. Motif indeks yang ditemukan adalah mengenai Motif yang Bijaksana dan yang bodoh, Motif Sosial, Motif Hadiah dan Hukuman, Motif Agama, serta Motif Karakter dan Sifat-sifatnya. Apart from the similarities, of course there are differences between the two literary works. The difference is the struggle of the main character described by the two authors, it is caused by different cultural backgrounds. The novel Pipisahan comes from Sundanese West Java, while the film Athirah comes from Makassar. The purpose of this research is to describe the story structure of the novel Pipisahan, the structure of the film Athirah, the comparison of the novel Pipisahan and the film Athirah, the index motifs found in the novel Pipisahan and the film Athirah. The methods and techniques used in this study are descriptive analytical methods with a qualitative approach. The result of this research is the story structure of the novel Pipisahan and the film Athirah which consists of the theme of the struggle of women who are abandoned by their husbands. The fact of the story is that the main characters in the novel are Emin, her ex-husband and Eja, while from the film the main actors are Athirah, Puang Ajji and Ucu. In the novel, the plot uses a back-and-forth plot, while in the film it uses a forward plot. The setting in the novel is in the Sundanese setting of West Java, while the setting in the film is in Makassar. The comparison which consists of similarities and differences is that novels and films have almost the same storyline, although they take place in different years and places, from the structure of the facts of the story and the motives of the index. The index motifs found are the Wise and Stupid Motives, Social Motives, Rewards and Punishments Motives, Religious Motives, and Character Motives and Traits.
