| Summary: | Penelitian ini berjudul Kajian Produksi Mouthpiece Bersha Bop Series untuk Saxophone Alto. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh peran mouthpiece pada karakter suara yang dihasilkan alat musik saxophone. Penggunaan saxophone pada karakteristik lagu yang beragam, membuat mouthpiece yang digunakan agar dapat menyesuaikan karakter lagu yang dimainkan. Peran mouthpiece dalam membentuk karakter suara pada saxophone dipengaruhi oleh bentuk baffle, chamber, bahan pembuatan serta desain interior lain yang ada pada mouthpiece itu sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses produksi mouthpiece saxophone alto serie Bop produk Bersha. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori akustik dan organologi sebagai ilmu yang membahas bentuk serta suara yang dihasilkan sebagai dasar landasan teori. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa struktur interior mouthpiece sangat mempengaruhi timbre yang dihasilkan oleh saxophone, lebih spesifik timbre diartikan sebagai overtone series yang merupakan keberagaman frekuensi yang muncul dalam satu suara. Implikasi penelitian ini dapat menjadi rujukan bagi peneliti selanjutnya tentang organologi alat musik khususnya saxophone. This research is entitled Production Study of Bersha Mouthpiece Bop Series for the Alto Saxophone. This research is motivated by the role of the mouthpiece in the character of the sound produced by the saxophone instrument. The use of the saxophone in various song characteristics, makes the mouthpiece used to match the character of the song being played. The role of the mouthpiece in shaping the character of the sound on the saxophone is influenced by the shape of the baffle, chamber, material and other interior designs in the mouthpiece itself. This study aims to determine the production process of the alto serie Bop saxophone mouthpiece from Bersha. This study uses the theory of acoustics and organology as a science that discusses the shape and sound produced as a theoretical basis. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. The results of this study explain that the interior structure of the mouthpiece greatly affects the timbre produced by the saxophone, more specifically timbre is defined as the overtone series which is the diversity of frequencies that appear in one sound. The implications of this research can be a reference for future researchers about the organology of musical instruments, especially the saxophone. |
