520 |a This study aims to comprehensively understand junior high school students' metacognition in solving mathematical problems in SPLDV material based on intrapersonal intelligence level. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a phenomenological research design. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII at an integrated Islamic junior high school in Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia. They collected data in this study using questionnaires, mathematical problem-solving tests, and interviews. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this study showed that students' metacognition was still not aware of their thinking processes, and students were still not able to maximize their abilities on indicators of monitoring actions and evaluating actions. The metacognition of students with high intrapersonal intelligence can be aware of their thinking processes and fulfill indicators of developing action plans, monitoring activities, and evaluating actions. The metacognition of students with average intrapersonal intelligence has not been able to control their thinking processes when monitoring actions and evaluating activities in solving problems given. Metacognition in students with low intrapersonal intelligence has not been able to control their thinking processes when developing action plans, monitoring actions, and also evaluating activities in solving problems that have been given.
