Summary:Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perngembangan kecakapan hidup melalui eksrakurikuler futsal dalam rangka Positive Youth Development (PYD). Populasi penelitian ini adalah 24 siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler futsal MAN 1 Kota Bandung yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok (kelompok eksperimen n = 12 dan kelompok kontrol n = 12). Program pengembangan kecakapan hidup dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan dari 8 komponen kecakapan hidup dari (Cronnin LD & Allen J, 2016) menajdi 6 komponen yaitu (1) kerja tim, (2) penetapan tujuan dan manajemen waktu, (3) kecakapan emosional, (4) komunikasi interpersonal, (5) kecakapan sosial, (6) kepemimpinan, pemecahan masalah, dan pengambilan keputusan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest posttest control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala kecakapan hidup untuk adaptasi olahraga (LSSS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan kecakapan hidup melalui ekstrakurikuler futsal memberikan dampak yang lebih signifikan terhadap peningkatan kecakapan hidup siswa dari pada latihan futsal tanpa program pengembangan kecakapan hidup. Temuan lebih lanjut menunjukkan bahwa program pengembangan kecakapan hidup memiliki perkembangan yang cukup signifikan dibandingkan dengan tanpa program pengembangan. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of life skills through extracurricular futsal in the context of Positive Youth Development (PYD). The population of this study were 24 students who took part in the futsal extracurricular activity at MAN 1 Bandung City, which were divided into two groups (n = 12 experimental group and n = 12 control group). The life skills development program in this study was developed from 8 life skills components (Cronnin LD & Allen J, 2016) into 6 components namely (1) teamwork, (2) goal setting and time management, (3) emotional skills, (4) interpersonal communication, (5) social skills, (6) leadership, problem solving, and decision making. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest posttest control group design. The instrument used is the Life Skills Scale for Sport Adaptation (LSSS). The results showed that developing life skills through futsal extracurricular activities had a more significant impact on improving students' life skills than futsal training without a life skills development program. Further findings show that the life skills development program has developed quite significantly compared to no development program.
