This research is conducted to analyze what sundanese cultural words found in "Pasini Jangji di Muaraberes, Carita Mundinglaya" and what translation procedures used by the translator in translating the cultural words from Sundanese version into its English version and the last is to analyze how accurate the Sundanese cultural words are in "Pasini Jangji di Muaraberes, Carita Mundinglaya" translated into "Love Blooms in Muaraberes, Mundinglaya Story". Using qualitative study, descriptive method is applied in this research. In analyzing the data, some steps of research procedures are conducted. First, the identified cultural words are categorized based on Newmark's cultural words category (1988). Second, the identified cultural words in the Sundanese version are compared to the translation in its English version and analyzed the translation procedures used in translating the cultural words using Newmark's translation procedures (1988) then the result of translation is assessed by criteria of good translation as proposed by Larson (1984) and Nababan (2006). The result of research showed that 130 cultural terms were found and material culture category (49%) was the most frequently found. Likewise, translation procedure of deletion (27%) was the most frequently used by the translator in translating the Sundanese cultural words, but, deletion in a large number makes the result of translation distort the message so the quality of the translation is not accurate and readable.
