Summary:Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh media pembelajaran yang kurang dikembangkan oleh guru dan kurang antusias siswa terhadap bacaan sehingga menimbulkan rasa bosan. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk 1) mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC berbantuan media komik terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar. 2) mengukur perbedaan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III antara yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC berbantuan media komik dengan yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan media komik. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas 3 di SDN Sindangsari 248. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas 3A SDN 248 Sindangsari sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas 3B SDN 248 Sindangsari sebagai kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan prosedur kuantitatif, dengan metode kuasi eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu penilaian hasil belajar siswa. Nilai tertinggi pre-test eksperimen yaitu 87,5 dan nilai terendah yaitu 25. Nilai tertinggi post-test eksperimen, yaitu 93,75 dan nilai terendah yaitu 50. Nilai tertinggi pre-test kontrol, yaitu 75 dan nilai terendah 24. Nilai tertinggi post-test kontrol 87,5 dan nilai terendah 50. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC berbantuan media komik berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III sekolah dasar. Tidak terdapat perbedaan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa antara yang mengunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC berbantuan media komik dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan media komik. ------- This research is motivated by learning media that are not developed by teachers and students' lack of enthusiasm for reading, causing boredom. The objectives of this study were to 1) determine the effect of using the CIRC type cooperative learning model assisted by comic media on the reading comprehension skills of third grade elementary school students. 2) measuring the difference in reading comprehension skills of third grade students between those using the CIRC type cooperative learning model assisted by comic media and those using the jigsaw type cooperative learning model assisted by comic media. The population of this study was all grade 3 at SDN Sindangsari 248. The sample for this study was class 3A SDN 248 Sindangsari as the experimental class and class 3B SDN 248 Sindangsari as the control class. This study used a quantitative procedure, with a quasi-experimental method. The instrument used is the assessment of student learning outcomes. The highest score of the experimental pre-test was 87.5 and the lowest score was 25. The highest score of the experimental post-test was 93.75 and the lowest score was 50. The highest score of the control pre-test was 75 and the lowest score was 24. The highest score of post-test -control test was 87.5 and the lowest score was 50. The results showed that the CIRC type cooperative learning model assisted by comic media had an effect on the reading comprehension skills of third grade elementary school students. There was no difference in reading comprehension skills between students using the CIRC type cooperative learning model assisted by comic media and the jigsaw type cooperative learning model assisted by comic media.
