| Summary: | The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of self-esteem on narcissistic behavior among members of the "X' Police Unit in Bandung. This study involved 156 members of the Police Unit 'X' in Bandung aged between 20-57 years old. Respondents filled out the self-esteem questionnaire (Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES)) and the narcissistic behavior questionnaire (Narcissistic Personality Inventory-40 (NPI-40)) adapted by the researcher. The sampling technique used was incidental sampling. The data analysis technique used was simple regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 25. The results showed that the self-esteem variable had a significant influence on narcissistic behavior with a significance value of 0.062 (p<0.05). Based in these result, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the self-esteem variable on the narcissistic behavior variable among members of the Police Unit 'X' in Bandung. |
