Summary:The main issue in this study is the low rates of the nurses performance, which showed by the the nurse serviced that was not reached optimum rates yet. If this kind of phenomenon does not solve immediately, it will become a disturbance for the hospital's goals achieving, so it has to be solved as soon as possible. There are the ways that could be overcome this problem, and one of them is by increasing the nurses abilities and skills through the nurses work stress management. This study conducted to know the visible image of the nurses work stress and performance, and how was the effect of work stress to the nurses performance of The Rawat Inap Prima I Installation in Immanuel Hospital Bandung. This study used descriptive and verified method with the method used is explanatory survey. The independent variable in this study is work stress, and the dependent variable is nurses performance. The instrument used in this study is questioner where distributed in Immanuel hospital, Bandung. The observed respondents were 58 people. The data analysis technique used in this study was simple linier regression analysis. The result of this study showed that visible image of nurses work stress of The Rawat Inap Prima I Installation in Immanuel Hospital Bandung was on the high category and the visible image of the nurses performance was on the middle category. Related to the study's result, known that the rate of the work stress effect (variable X) to the nurses performance (variable Y) is 30,14%. From that result known that 30,14% performance effected by work stress, and the remain is 69,86% influence by other factors. This is showed that work stress has a positive and significant effect to the nurses performance, so the writer concluded a final hypothesis which says that "Work stress significantly affects the Nurses Performance'', is accepted.
