However, the population density of the Sub-district of Lembang is categorized as excessively dense with 172.971 people compared with the other two sub-districts crossed by the Lembang fault: Parongpong (86.103 of population) and Cisarua (63.891 of population). Therefore, the Sub-district of Lembang is more fragile upon earthquake than the other two sub-districts. The purpose of this study is to analyze the most influential factor which affects the earthquake vulnerability in the Sub-district of Lembang and to analyze the level of earthquake vulnerability. This study employs descriptive and survey methodology. The area population of the study is the whole area of the sub-district of Lembang. Meanwhile, the inhabitant population is the whole inhabitant of the Sub district of Lembang. The sampling technique employed in this study is stratified random sampling. The indicators in this present study are the physical vulnerability which consists of occupied area, building density, and building quality. The indicators in this present study are the social vulnerability population growth speed, and fragile population group covering senior citizens, under five years citizens, and female citizens. The economic vulnerability covers the occupations and earnings. The collection data technique employed is observation, photography, questionnaire, documentation and literature review. The analysis technique employed is Earthquake Disaster Risk Index. The result shows that the most influential factor is the social factor, consisting of population density, population growth speed, senior citizens, under five year citizens, and female citizens. The level of physical vulnerability to earthquake is classified into moderate with the basic value of 2.02. The level of social vulnerability to earthquake is classified moderate with the basic value of 2,08. The level of economic vulnerability to earthquake is classified as moderate with the basic value of 2. After knowing the level of vulnerability in each indicator, the earthquake vulnerability in Lembang is also defined. The level of vulnerability in the Sub-district of Lembang is classified as moderate with the basic value of 2.09. However, the decreasement of the earthquake vulnerability should be conducted.
