Summary

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is an organ that has an important role in resolving an international conflict, in carrying out its duties and functions, the UNSC still has various problems that cause ineffectiveness of the organ's own function. The role of the UNSC which still has stumbling blocks in efforts to resolve international conflicts. Based on the research by the author, it can be concluded that the role of the UNSC in International conflict resolution does not play an important role, it's just that the content of the resolution is well-ordered. But its implementation is not in accordance with the contents. Obstacles in resolving international conflicts are caused by permanent member states that always use vetoes for their personal interests, so in this case the UNSC is considered to have failed in maintaining world security and peace as long as there is still a veto from permanent members.
