Summary

Online loan services are a form of technological advancement that aims to provide convenience in carrying out borrowing and lending activities, lending and borrowing services are regulated in Article 1 number (3) of the Financial Services Authority Regulation No. 77 / POJK.1 / 2016 concerning Information Technology-Based Lending and Borrowing Services. The rise in the use of online loans is followed by the proliferation of cases of misuse of consumer personal data. Protection of personal data is regulated in Article 30 of the Law on Information and Electronic Transactions which contains an explanation of actions including the dissemination of personal data with criminal sanctions that will be obtained by the perpetrator. In this study, the author uses the normative juridical method, namely by reviewing related literature and using secondary data. The results obtained from online loan research have been regulated by several regulations and consumer protection has been guaranteed based on laws and regulations of other authorized institutions..
