Description
Summary:Every ship built, of course, requires maintenance scheduling in order to maintain the productivity and safety of the ship. At PT. Dok & Perkapalan Kodja Bahari Galangan 1 Jakarta, Floating Dock is used as the main means for repair and maintenance of ships with a carrying capacity of 6000 TLC and has been operating from 2010 - Present. Of course, with its operating life of more than 10 years, there is a reduction in the strength of the floating dock construction due to the reduction in plate thickness due to corrosion of service life. Reducing the strength of the construction also affects the reduction in the carrying capacity of the initial design. In order to avoid unwanted things during operation, a research was conducted using the Finite Element Method on the Ansys Static Structural Workbench application as a problem solving solution with the output obtained in the form of stress and deformation values. Modeling is done by making two pieces of one of the Floating Dock pontoons with different thickness of the plates used. So the results of the calculation show that it is true that there is a reduction in strength due to the corrosion rate which results in a decrease in the thickness of the plate in each construction building.
