Rejection from peer groups can increase bullying treatment which can have a negative impact on adolescents. This study aims to see the relationship between verbal bullying and adolescent anxiety at SMA Negeri 1 Salem. The research design is quantitative with cross sectional method, the number of samples is 105 respondents taken by simple random sampling technique. The instrument uses verbal bullying and the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (ZSAS). The results showed that there was a significant relationship between verbal bullying and adolescent anxiety with p-value = 0.009 and r-value = 0.647, which means the direction of the correlation is positive and the relationship is strong. The implication of the research is the deskription of the characteristics of adolescents as victims of bullying and the relationship between verbal bullying and adolescent anxiety. The research is useful for parents in monitoring their children's interactions and becoming more sensitive to the crisis situations they are experiencing.
