The incidence of HIV/AIDS cases in adolescents continues to increase. From the results of interviews with 12 adolescents, 50% of adolescents have the risk of HIV/AIDS prevention behavior that is still not good. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parenting patterns, sources of information and knowledge of adolescents with HIV/AIDS prevention behavior in adolescents at SMA Negeri 104 Jakarta. This type of quantitative research with cross sectional design using chi square test. Sampling by random sampling with stratified random sampling technique totaled 172 respondents from class X and XI. The results of the bivariate analysis in this study showed that there was a relationship between parenting patterns and HIV/AIDS prevention behavior with a p-value of 0.030, there was a relationship between information sources and HIV/AIDS prevention behavior with a p-value of 0.021, and there was a relationship between adolescent knowledge and HIV/AIDS prevention behavior. With a p-value of 0.000. The conclusion of this study is that parenting patterns, sources of information and knowledge of adolescents greatly affect adolescents in HIV/AIDS prevention behavior. Researchers suggest the need for more attention from parents to their children and adolescents can use information sources to increase adolescent knowledge related to HIV/AIDS in order to avoid promiscuity and adolescents can improve HIV/AIDS prevention behavior.
