| Summary: | HIV/AIDS is a disease that can be transmitted by anyone, including teenagers. UNICEF states as many as 2.8 million children and adolescents are affected by HIV cases and only 53% of adolescents are receiving HIV treatment. This study aims to determine the relationship between internet use and knowledge level of HIV/AIDS with HIV/AIDS prevention behavior in adolescents in RW 05, Batu Ampar village. This study used the Chi-Square Test with a descriptive analytic cross-sectional approach with purposive sampling as a sample, and a sample of 107 adolescents aged 15-18 years. The results of the study found that there was no relationship between internet use and HIV/AIDS prevention behavior in adolescents in RW 05, Batu Ampar village with p value = 0.900 (> 0.005). Meanwhile, for other variables, there is no correlation between knowledge level of HIV/AIDS and HIV/AIDS prevention behavior in adolescents in RW 05, Batu Ampar sub-district with p value = 0.697 (> 0.005). Researchers suggest teenagers to use the internet as a search for appropriate information, increase knowledge of HIV/AIDS, and apply it in HIV/AIDS prevention behavior so that they are not at risk of getting HIV/AIDS or sexual risk behavior. |
