520 |a Nutrition facts label provides information about a packaged food's nutrient content to help the consumers for food preferences. Housewives as an important person for family's food preferences need to have an awareness about nutrition facts reading. This is due to their low knowledge and attitude towards nutrition facts label. Nutrition Education could be a right solution to increasing the knowledge and attitude. Poster and Video are currently being developed and known to be the right media to be used in education. This research aims to determine the effect of nutrition education using poster and video towards knowledge and attitude change on housewives about nutrition facts label. The method used in this research is quasi experimental with one group pre-test post-test design. 60 sample used for this study, divided into 2 groups, poster group and video group. The statistical tests used are Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney. The study results showed that there was an effect of nutrition education using poster and video towards knowledge change (p-value = 0,000) and attitudes change (p-value=0,000) about nutrition fact label in housewives at Tanah Tinggi Districts. The mean value of attitudes in the video group is higher than the poster group, therefore the video is more effective in increasing attitudes (P-value=0,016) about nutrition facts label in Housewives at Tanah Tinggi Districts.
