| 520 | |a The rise of the phenomenon of kinship associations that can not last long makes us have to strive to maintain the integrity of the group by strengthening solidarity. This study examines communication activities to explain communication behavior in Parsadaan Sahata Rumbio in maintaining group cohesiveness. Parsadaan Sahata Rumbio is the only one kinship group from the Batak Mandailing Jakarta that is able to exist until now and has been the oldest since 1990. This study uses a ethnographic communication research method with an qualitative research approach which aims to analyze every speech that occurs as it is to form cohesiveness high group. This research was conducted in Cibubur, East Jakarta, on Thursday, January 7, 2021. The result of this research is that the Parsadaan Sahata Rumbio group is indeed a cohesive group by carrying out various activities such as monthly recitation, traveling together, social gathering, marpokat, visiting each other, and being responsive when something happens. In order to maintain solidarity between them, it turned out that there were many representative and expressive speeches, never discussed personal problems, and had lots of humor. | ||
