Air pollution is a problem that is close to the lives of the citizens of the Capital City, but it is still a problem that is difficult to handle and has a large enough impact, especially in affecting human health. This study will explain the advocacy communication process carried out by an Instagram NGO, @Akudankotaku, which focuses on discussing environmental issues in the capital city of Jakarta, one of which is air pollution. This study uses advocacy communication theory, where advocacy is done by placing problems on the agenda to provide solutions in dealing with an issue, which also requires movement from various sources to support certain policies so that they can change public opinion and decisions. This research uses a qualitative approach by using the case study method, with the type of field research. Data was collected by conducting in-depth interviews with research subjects consisting of informants and key informants as well as observations. This research will also explore what advocacy communication processes are carried out by @Akudankotaku in advocating for their Instagram account followers about the issue of air pollution. The results of this study indicate that the use of Instagram social media can support @Akudankotaku activities as an advocacy medium in discussing the issue of air pollution in the Capital City of Jakarta aimed at the people of Jakarta in informative, persuasive, and interactive forms of communication. Advocacy communication by @Akudankotaku is carried out through several processes so that these activities can successfully achieve their goals, including identifying issues, planning agendas, formulating solutions, and playing a role in proposing a policy. @Akudankotaku is advised to be more active in communicating with the community, and developing the latest innovations for its advocacy content.
