Summary:The entry of a foreign company (MNC) IKEA as a form of FDI is one of the international economic cooperation activities carried out by Indonesia. IKEA entered Indonesia in 2014 and carries out its economic activities using the standards owned by IKEA through IWAY to regulate its management to have The IKEA Supply Chain and Code of Conduct. Departing with FDI and international cooperation, IKEA's presence in Indonesia can provide developments to the local manufacturing industri through IWAY which is used as a standard for its economic activities, because as an MNC, of course IKEA carries out its economic activities in accordance with its standards in the host country and still follows and stands on policies The existing policies in Indonesia also provide economic development in Indonesia through the economic activities carried out by IKEA in Indonesia. This study aims to find out how IKEA (IWAY) standards and policies from the Government of Indonesia can provide development for the local manufacturing industri. This study uses a qualitative approach with research methods including data collection and then data analysis. Data were collected through interviews for primary data and literature from various sources for secondary data. The research framework used is the theory of international cooperation and the concept of FDI and MNC. The results of this study revealed that through the collaboration carried out by IKEA and the Government of Indonesia through various activities carried out together from training, seminars, to providing direct learning to IKEA suppliers through IWAY, it can increase development of the local manufacturing industri.
