GAMBARAN FAKTOR RISIKO TERJADINYA LOW BACK PAIN PADA PETANI DI KAMPUNG SURAU SUMATERA BARAT

Summary

Low back pain is a disease that is quite close to human life, especially for people who have quite heavy physical activity as done by farmers. Several risk factors that may cause low back pain are age, gender, body mass index, smoking habit, workload, working period, work duration, and work posture. The purpose of writing this Final Scientific Paper is to describe the risk factors for low back pain among farmers in Kampung Surau West Sumatra. This study is a descriptive study with a sample of 40 people. The results showed that the number of respondents who felt low back pain was 28 respondents (70%). The highest number of respondents who feel low back pain is the male sex as many as 15 respondents (37.5%), in the age range 45-55 years as many as 16 respondents (40%), who have a workload of more than 25 kg as many as 17 respondents (42.5%), and have a working period of more than 10 years as many as 26 respondents (65%). Based on the results of measuring work posture using REBA, data obtained from 26 respondents (65%) with work postures that have moderate risk.
