Summary:Consumer protection is an absolute thing that must be provided by every country to protect consumers in their country. The rules made must be binding and coercive to create equality between consumers and business actors. In this case, the main problem in this study is how to compare consumer protection legal arrangements related to the fulfillment of consumer compensation rights in Indonesia and Singapore, as well as how the ideal arrangements that regulate the fulfillment of consumer compensation rights in Indonesia. So in this case a comparative study is needed between the existing consumer protection laws in Indonesia and Singapore. The method used by the author in this study is normative juridical. By drawing the conclusion that there are differences between the two regulations, in which case the author summarizes the important points to be formulated in the formulation of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection in the context of providing legal protection and legal certainty to consumers in Indonesia taken from consumer protection legislation products Singapore Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act as follows: Include a formulation of the criteria for actions that can be categorized as fraudulent acts of business actors (unfair practices); Formulation of Conspiracy; The formulation of the cancellation of the contract; Criteria for fulfillment of consumer compensation period; Compliance agreement; And the establishment of a task force for monitoring fraudulent practices (unfair practices) in consumer transaction trading activities.
