Summary

Cashback is a refund received by the buyer from the seller after making a purchase or transaction at an online store that provides certain products or services. Cashback is one of the most popular promotions by the public because it is considered the most profitable and saves expenses. In today's digital era, many fintech companies make digital wallets or e-wallets as a more effective and efficient transaction tool that can be used anytime and anywhere. To stay afloat in the fierce market competition, business actors in the e-wallet sector are competing to get the most consumers by means of promotions, one of which is massive cashback which leads to burning money and creates predatory pricing which violates Article 20 of Law No. 5 of 1999 concerning the Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Business Competition.
