| Summary: | Cigarette products are products that are not safe for consumption because they contain 4000 harmful and dangerous ingredients. One of the content in cigarette products for both cigarette users and non-cigarette users is tar and nicotine. Because cigarettes have an impact on various aspects, both economic, moral, and public health, the need for consistent, firm, and detailed regulation related to the regulation of health warning labels and health information, especially on labels for limits on tar and nicotine content, which is less clear, is also a problem in this topic. this research. This study uses a normative legal research method with a statutory approach with data obtained by reviewing regulations and related literature. The desired result in this study is to show that there is negligence by the government in providing supervision to the cigarette industry which does not follow Government Regulation No. 109 of 2012 in conjunction with Minister of Health Regulation No. 56 of 2017. As a result of the information related to "there is no information related to the "safe limit" of consuming tar and nicotine content, it does not fulfill consumer rights, both safety rights, safety rights, and also human rights information on cigarette products.
