In Indonesia, photographic works of art are one of the works that are quite a lot produced by creators in real form. Advances and developments in information technology in the era of globalization have both positive and negative impacts, including photography. One of the offenses against a photographic work is to use the photographic work with the aim of earning income without the consent of the original owner of the photographic work. This violates the moral rights and commercial rights of the content. Copyright law states that one's photographic work may not be distributed if it is for a commercial purpose. The problem that the author will raise in this research is how to protect the copyright of photographic works on product photos in online shops, and what are the legal consequences for copyright infringement on photographic works. The activity of taking photographic works in online shops is rife in Indonesia. Product photos that are in the online shop for commercial purposes are included in photographic works. Some shops have photos of the same product and they don't even know the photo they are using is someone's photography. Activities like this should be used as further learning about the various parties who benefit from the work of others without prior permission.
