Description
Summary:Public service advertisements are one way for institutions to present social messages that aim to create public awareness of the problems that are present in their midst, one of which is child marriage. The high number of child marriages every year has a significant influence on all aspects of a child's life, as well as the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA) which socializes how to reduce the number of early marriages, namely through public service advertisements "Prevention of Child Marriage" where the target is parents in educating their children to reduce the number of child marriages. This study aims to prove the effect of persuasive messages in public service advertisements on parents' attitudes (Survey in North Serpong District) by testing Perloff's persuasive theory. The research method used in this study is a survey method by distributing questionnaires to parents in North Serpong District. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect between the variables of public service advertisements on the variable of parents' attitudes as evidenced by regression testing. Based on the results of the calculation of the regression test, it was found that the influence of the variable public service advertising on the parental attitude variable was 0.175. These results are supported by the results of hypothesis testing, namely H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that KPPPA's Public Service Advertisement "Prevention of Child Marriage" has an effect on Parental Attitudes.
